Local cheeses from David and Penny Hill, Diana Smart and Charles Martell. The best British and Continental cheeses including Brie de Meaux and Montgomery Cheddar.
- Charcuterie & Mediterannean
We stock the best Spanish chorizo and Teruel hams and salamis from across Europe including Hungarian salami and Ventricina Picante from Italy, alongside olives and antipasti. We also stock local cold roast meats.
- Ingredients and Larder Basics
We stock a wide range of groceries from low volume producers, from spices and condiments to delight the most imaginative cook, to every day food and drink including freshly ground coffee.
- Freshly baked bread and pastries
We have freshly baked organic bread every day including bloomers, rolls, baguettes and croissants. Plus sourdough and seeded breads baked in the village.
- Fresh Fruit and vegetables
Fruit and vegetables are delivered to us daily. Please place an order on the day prior if you have a specific need. We stock local when we can and apples, when in season, are a speciality.
- Dairy & eggs locally sourced
Our eggs are from Clive and Mandys happy hens in Westbury. Our butter is from Netherend farm. We have a choice of organic milk. Our yoghurts and cheesecakes are the superb ones from the Dairy House in Weobley, just over the border near Hereford.
- Gloucester Old Spot bacon & sausages
We are the only other shop to stock The Country Butchers award-winning Gloucester Old Spot bacon and sausages, made in Huntley.
- Meat, game & poultry
Madgetts Farm supply our free-range chicken and duck and turkeys at Christmas. All our beef, pork and lamb is sourced from farms within a 20 mile radius and venison, when in season, comes from the nearby Lydney Park Estate. We can supply other Game to order.
- Fishcakes and Smoked Fish
Jamie from Edwards Fishmongers in Launceston, Cornwall makes sure we always have a supply of our very popular fishcakes. The award-winning Inverawe Smokehouse in Argyll supplies our smoked salmon and trout. (They are a long way away but we think they are the best and they do recycle their packaging.)
- Picnics and barbecues
For a cold spread or sizzling supper we have lots to inspire you. Sample something new at the deli counter or add a twist to your barbie with a new relish, dressing or rub.
- Hunter & Todd ready cooked meals
We cook here at the deli so you dont have to when you get home. We do soups and main meals, meat and vegetarian, either chilled or frozen and our menus change daily.
- Sandwiches, hot snacks & soft drinks
We offer sandwiches, made freshly for you, from Monday to Friday until our bread runs out. We have Cornish pasties daily including three vegetarian options. We have a wide range of snacks and soft drinks.
- Confectionery & Gift hampers
We stock confectionery throughout the year and have specialty ranges for Christmas and Easter. Our gift hamper service is available all year around. Simply choose your items and we will package them for you from as little as 5 pounds.
- Home baking, cakes & biscuits
Everything you need to bake a cake, and cakes for those who dont mind cheating. We have fruit cakes from Archie and Milly Hunter in Ludlow, and sponge cakes from Clams in Abergavenny.
- Wines, Ales & Ciders
We Stock Old and New World wines that you wont find in supermarkets, with a choice from 4 to 44 pounds, plus bottled ales and a range of local ciders.
